Most bloating advice targets food, when food often isn't the cause
Cutting gluten, dropping dairy, doing an intolerance test — these all assume something you're eating is the problem. For some people that's true. But if you've removed food group after food group and the afternoon bloating still arrives, that's usually a sign the cause isn't sitting on your plate. At that point it makes more sense to look at digestion itself, and what's affecting how it works.
